This coffee shop used to be coda coffee, and was rebranding to Griffen coffee once the new owners took over. The place still has the same local cheery and comfortable vibe as its always has. The food and drinks are still incredible and i'd argue that the service is even better, as it seems the employees have experience a positive change with the new ownership. The spruced the place up a bit as well. Theres always local art work for sale on the walls as well.
I highly recommend their iced mocha and the veggie breakfast burrito. -

Formerly Coda Coffee, Griffin Coffee is slinging caffeinated beverages for the Edgewater folk. Can I get a hoyah?!
Pleasant employees greet you at the counter. There a lot of tables for working, catching up with friends, or enjoying a regular cup of Joe. Many of the tables are small (sans the community table) so if you're not flying solo this might not be your best spot for coworking.
Cutting to the chase, the coffee is damn good. On two visits, I've stuck with my usual cold brew, and it's gone down swimmingly (and perhaps too quickly) on each occasion. Hail biodegradable straws!
You might not find street parking depending on the time of day. I recommend the lot on Sheridan and 25th, which is available for patrons and only a stones throw from the shop.
Happy caffeinating! -

I spent my whole summer in 2019 in Lakewood, so I had time to check out several cafes; Griffin was consistently one of the best. Good pastries, great drinks, a really friendly staff, and plenty of seating make it a great place to hang out. Moreover, the location is excellent - it's near the lake and park which is a beautiful place to take a walk, and a ton of awesome food choices line the street. And, yes, the "Doll Hospital" is nearby, but don't let that terrifying place keep you from visiting Griffin!

I've never been in this area before, but I'm glad to have visited Griffin Coffee! The reviews are so pleasant about their coffees, that it made me really excited to try. It's a pretty good place to get coffee, and the interior is cute. The staff is very friendly and the overall atmosphere is perfect for studying or hanging out with friends for hours. It's just a very cozy coffee shop!

Great charm, coffee, and smoothies. Even found a delicious vegan cookie to dip in my americano.
